A while back I posted about a look featuring local clothing brand, Bronx Native. Since then they have been featured on local news, blogs, and even made it in The New York Times; both owners are in their early 20s and have accomplished so much.

(The photos of me are taken by Doug Pearson and all the rest are taken by me)

IMG_4204On October 2nd they opened up a pop up shop in the South Bronx located 127 Lincoln Avenue. Each night they have different events with fellow Bronx natives; everything from stand up comedy to poetry night to events with local content creators, such as Dandy in the Bronx.

The store is fully Bronx themed with a dominos table out front and the store front decorated with bodega themed items; such as Mistolin, Arizona Ice Teas, Cafe IMG_4191Bustelo, and Saint candles. When you walk into the store you will be greeted by Amaurys and Roselyn Grullón, siblings and the owners of Bronx Native. The store has posters on walls of the Bronx at different time periods and of Bronx hip hop legends. Not be missed is the large wall with graffiti and art form native to the Bronx; they have paint markers so you can come in anytime to tag the walls (I put a kitty and the BX).

The shop closes on October 15th so definitely stop by and grab a shirt, a hoodie, or a dad hat and stay late for some entertainment.

IMG_4216As for my outfit I’m wearing the “Boogie Down Bronx” Bronx Native shirt and paired it with my favorite necklace I wear with all my t-shirts. My bottoms are from American Apparel, before they closed down (similar pants will be listed at the end). I completed the look with these block heel sandals I’m obsessed with from DSW.

I decided to transition into a fall eye look and lip color. I used the Juvia’s Place The Nubian 2 Palette($28) to create this eye look. On my crease I used ‘Kenya,’ my lid ‘Nerftiti,’ on my brow bone (and as a highlight) I used ‘Zuri.’ On my waterline I used a brown eyeliner. I topped of the eye look with the Too Faced Better The Sex Waterproof Mascara.

On my lips I’m wearing Jeffree Star Cosmetic’s Velour Liquid Lip in ‘Leo’ ($18).
