The fur trend was hot and heavy for the Fall/Winter 2016 and was all over the runway last year for this season..
Fur still made an appearance in this past fashion week, whether real or faux. Some designers who chose to include this element were Marc Jacobs, Dennis Basso, Tome, and more.
My favorite luxury faux fur company, although I have yet to own something from them, is Shrimps UK. This faux fur coat I’m wearing was thrifted from a shop in Harlem, I couldn’t find the company online. A lot of people try to shy away from faux fur because it looks cheap, but if you look hard enough you can find high quality faux fur for a very low price. I happen to come across this one, but ASOS, TopShop, Zara, and some coats at Forever 21 are good quality.
If you want a faux fur coat I suggest buying in store or shopping from online shops that you can easily return to if the coat isn’t the quality you wanted.
I decided to keep my outfit simple, leaving the light pink fuzzy coat as the star of the outfit. I chose a slouchy white shirt and high waisted black jeans because it was simple enough to not to draw attention from the pink coat, but classic enough.
I wanted to have a rustic makeup look. I used Juvia’s Place Nubian 2 Palette ($28.99). I used ‘Madagascar’ as a blending color on the crease with ‘Morocco’ and ‘Jezebel’. On my lid I dipped into my Lime Crime Venus Palette ($34) in the color ‘Rebirth’ and went back to the Nubian Palette for ‘Zuri.’ The eyeliner is Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in ‘Trooper’ ($20).
